Tina May was born in Rockland Maine and attended schools in several towns in Maine, graduating from Georges Valley High School in Thomaston in 1966. She likes to sew, knit, quilt and read.

Tina May is a past president on the American Legion Auxiliary in Millinocket and currently is treasurer, working most of their functions.  She is also a member of the Katahdin Area Partnership for healthy living.  In the past she has been a two time president of the Emblem Club, and still works many functions at the Millinocket Elks Lodge.  In 2009-2010 Tina May was named Maine Elks Association “Spouse of the Year”
