the Department of Veterans Affairs’ General Post Fund for exclusively public
purposes are deductible from federal income taxes in the manner and to the
extent allowable. The announcement reflects the tax law provision, which
makes those donations deductible as “donations to the United States”.
Donations to support any of the Department’s programs are deductible, whether
the donor directs that the donated funds be used for a specific purpose or
allows the Department to decide how the donated funds will be used. Donated
funds made by check should be made out to “VAVS” and sent to the address above.
Thank
You For Owie Box Run

The day after the OWIE Box Run our Host from Ellsworth Lodge, Scott and
Melissa, took us on a great ride on a beautiful day to Cadillac Mountain and
this is the group picture on top of the Mountain. We had about 57 bikes
participate in the day after ride and then we went to Schoodic Point. We
ended at the Nautic Pub for lunch where Gary provided a great lunch for us at
no charge. We want to Thank all for the great time provided for all those
that attended the festivities and great cause “Maine Children’s Cancer
Program” on Saturday and Sunday. Thank you to all that donated and worked
to make this happen, you all deserve our gratitude and appreciation for a great
job done.
