Operation
Recognition
At the MEA State Meeting in Portland this past
weekend, members of “Operation Recognition” made a presentation, explaining
their program to the members. Operation Recognition is a non-profit organization
that recognizes the sacrifices made by members of the Armed Services here in
Maine by providing a FREE retreat and vacation with all expenses paid for one
week at a time. The Maine Elks, and its member Lodges have been offered the
opportunity to partner with Shipyard Brewing Company to donate a portion of
their sales to this program. Essentially, if a Lodge already sells Shipyard
products in its lounge, all that would be needed is a form to be filled out, and
sent in. Once this happens, Shipyard Brewing Company will donate 10% of the
Lodge’s purchases of product to Operation Recognition. Lodges that do not yet
sell Shipyard would need to establish an account. Forms were distributed at the
State Meeting. For more information on Operation Recognition, visit www.OperationRecognition.com
If you have news or information of interest to the members of the Maine Elks Association, please send your articles to Public Relations Director Wayne Cotterly at meapr@fairpoint.net for inclusion in the MEA Calendar, Newsbriefs, and/or Website. Also, if you would like to be removed from this mailing list, please send an e-mail to Public Relations Director Wayne Cotterly at meapr@fairpoint.net. In addition, if you know of someone who would like to be added to this list, please have them forward their e-mail address to the same address.
