9th Annual "Owie Box"
Motorcycle Run

July 9, 2011

Hosted by the Maine Elks Motorcycle Riders Committee

The Maine Elks Association Motorcycle Riders will be holding their annual "Owie Box" Motorcycle Run on July 9, 2011. The ride will benefit the Maine Children's Cancer Program's "Owie Box Program." What is an "Owie Box?" It is a place where children and teenagers get to receive an item when they undergo a painful procedure as part of their cancer treatment. It may be a toy for the younger children, or an electronic item such as an Ipod for the teenagers. This will be the 9th year that the "Owie Box" Motorcycle Run has been held. Last year, the run raised  $27,411 Dollars for the program. Over it's 9 year history, the event has raised a total of $184,175 dollars.

The run is not just for motorcycles, you can bring your car or truck if you don't ride a motorcycle.
